The good - they were very nice people and they did send us where we needed to be eventually. The pediatric orthopedist at OrthoVirginia did a great job with his arm. But they advised us never to go to Urgent Care with a child and we will for sure never use this Urgent Care again!
Instead of helping me, Dr. Khorrami treated me like an addict despite having extensive records proving otherwise.
Horrible customer service, I called the place to see what is the waiting time and a lady called Marriane answered the phone so I asked what is the waiting time? She said HA , I repeated again and she kept saying HA, so I repeated again and she kept yelling HA Ha, I told her don’t keep saying HA you need to know that you are dealing with SICK people and you need to be patient, then she told me the waiting time.
DO NOT TAKE CHILDREN HERE!
He is rude, judgmental, and will treat you like an addict without relying on any objective measures other than the way you look or what medications you are on.
I've come in for an allergy related asthma attack and twice for stitches; all experiences have been positive! Great customer care and staff attends to patients as fast as they are able. I never felt confused or unsure of what was going on during my visits and I was happy with the care provided by the nurses and PAs. I would recommend this facility for anyone who has an urgent need for care that does not require a trip to the emergency room.
I have not slept for nearly 4 days and all he could focus was on medicating I had been on for over decade and prescribed by the same doctors and filled at largely at CVS.
After we had been there 1 1/2 hours, and after an x-ray proved he had broken both bones in his forearm, they finally offered him pain medication. They sent us out to a pediatric orthopedist with his arm only in a sling; they didn't splint it or anything. The orthopedist was horrified.
Took my young son in with an obviously broken arm (arm was clearly bent in a not natural way). Aida at the check-in insisted he could not have a broken arm since he was not crying and made us wait 30 minutes to see the doctor (she said that if he was screaming they would have interrupted the doctor and he would have been seen immediately). Using crying as a way to triage people - especially children, seems like a bad practice.
I went there prepared with my medical records and was really in pain from severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
Both the check-in staff and medical professionals were caring, and made sure I understood my medical situation. I am very satisfied with the outcome of the visit. The wait time was a bit long, but this was a minor point for me.
A trip to the ER could have saved me the hassle of dealing with this uncaring doctor.
Needless to say, I left there feeling worse than I did.
jx Dr. Ali Khorrami
