Arrived to respond to my call while I was still on the phone with them. Very nice and thorough. Very professional and considerate.
I got pulled over without probable cause (illegally) because, in the subjective opinion of Officer Aicona, I'd accelerated too quickly (my aftermarket exhaust "sounds fast"). This was evident when I asked why I was being pulled over, and no answer was given. If I was indeed speeding, Officer Aicona would have been able to articulate exactly how much I'd broken the speed limit, and why I was pulled over, but that didn't happen. Adding insult to injury, she acted like she was doing me a favor letting me off with a "warning" for this imaginary speeding.
I love all the negative reviews posted here. Try taking your face out of your cell phone before crossing the street and you might not get run over. Also try obeying an officer's direction and you won't end face down in the snow. Arlington is the most professional, tolerant and well trained police department you will find anywhere. Try living somewhere else and see the difference.
I'd begun the time-consuming, costly, and burdensome process of registering my vehicle in Arlington County last month, and my temporary tag was good through July 2017. I got pulled over without probable cause on August 8th - was given a citation for the expired tag, and then cited for having a valid Florida drivers license. Even though the state of Virginia is supposed to grant reciprocity, they actually don't. So now I'm required to lose a day's wages and go to court over this. I'm a federal law enforcement officer, and a combat disabled veteran. Arlington feels more like a prison than a home, and I'm leaving sooner than planned as a result because I will not support a tyrannical local government with all my state income tax, sales tax, and vehicle tax dollars. Where does all that money go? The roads here are terrible, in need of repairs, and usually congested. Here's an idea - let's decrease police personnel to save residents money, time, and undue harassment. They aren't gainfully employed here anyway if they are issuing citations for a 1week expired tag.
Lol worse department ever they're moronic and they're poor excuses for law enforcement, they didn't even handle a domestic violence situation that happened yesterday and mund the building is right next door
Terrible. Involved in a what was a hit and run and was told there was nothing that could be done despite having the person’s license plate.
