After never receiving the part or a call from this store I called in and the manager had NO IDEA of our visit.
When we got there (1.5hr drive, August 13, 2016, Saturday), the really un-interested, un-motivated female employee was "Swamped" with a whooping 3 customers (it was lunch time and her coworker arrived shortly after with her meal).
Can't avoid a few bad apples.
Called the store in advance and asked if they had a replacement part for my 6 years-old son's filk-flak wrist watch. The employee (Tomas) said they had it.
First letdown: the buffer machine is broken, so no buffering.
I went in for the free battery service and even got a spare one. Excellent customer service!!!!
Tomas, the employee i spoke on the phone with, was not present.
I has been 8 days and the part has not arrived in the mail. Will it ever...?
Could order my watch if they didn't have it in a store their demeanor very Charming very friendly and they really work well with young children eager to get there first swatch
Second letdown: The buckle really didn't fit my son's watch, so they said they would mail our part.
The Customer Service is awesome in this location!!! Ky is phenomenal and very solution oriented!!!!
Granted my son broke the buckle by forcing it, but the service in this store was a sad, striking contrast with the phenomenal service we have always get from our habitual stores in Manhattan: there are about 10 swatches in my household.
After a while, when she got to us I asked for the replacement part (broken buckle) and requested to have my own swatch's face buffered, as it had some slight scratches.
I love these watches when I was a kid but I feel like they are not really relevant or practical anymore.
UPDATE:
We visited the store in Union Station (Washigton DC) and the female employee just REPLACED the entire unit for an identical one, after not being able to find the right part to fix the original watch. Faith restored. Swatch, as a company, is as fine as the machinery they manufacture.
