State Farm used to be so personal, careful, and caring. Having been with State Farm since I began driving at the age of 16, now 45 and the owner of a small business and a business vehicle, I was transferred to Steffen when my previous agent was terminated from the company for fraud. When I purchased a truck for the business, for myself and occasional staff to drive, I was advised that any one of my employees was covered. Recently we moved to a new vehicle and Koons Toyota failed to notify our agent, and in dealing with the support staff who I can only imagine are overworked and stressed based on their tone and failure to produce documentation the first time calling me a second time as if they hadn't called the first time, I was told how much I owed but not provided my policy information. When I started to work on payment, and realized the price quoted was for six months and was significantly more than previous years, I requested detailed information. First I was told by the employee on the phone that she was not authorized to quote what my current policy terms were, then I asked for someone who was, that person was "busy". Then I said "I'll hold". I held for fifteen minutes and an extremely curt additional person got on the line, began to answer my questions (such as "what's the bodily injury limit") and stopped on the second question and asked me, as if I was a pain to deal with, "would you like me to send you your policy terms?" I took a breath, and replied that yes, that is what I would like to have happen, but at this stage AFTER she answered my questions...insured for 100/300, the only insured individual was myself (for a small business with ten employees) - no one else would have been covered and I know I'm not crazy regarding previous discussions. When I stated that I was told when took out this policy when I purchased the first business truck that ALL staff no matter who were covered as a business vehicle, she advised me that that was NOT the case now and that it wasn't her who told me that so she wasn't responsible. I took the policy terms and total amount over to a competitors website and discovered that the same policy coverage at that insurer was $200 less for a six month term. A near $600 policy at State Farm was under $400 at a major competitor. Do you research. Don't blindly pay your bill year after year. It is such a shame that State Farm allows their agents to overwork support staff, put pressure on them so that they are motivated to outright deceive 30 year customers. I have YET to receive a call back from this agent to discuss this situation. I have YET to receive the policy information from his staff, this has been ongoing for TWO WEEKS. Was I insured during that time? Who knows? Thankfully nothing took place during that time. I am now. Through their top competitor for near the same amount and significantly better policy terms and a much much lower deductible. Whenever the agents decide to come back from lunch or vacation or wherever, they might want to start investing some time in their support staff or else they aren't going to have an agency for long if any other longtime clients were treated the same way I was. There is something not quite right going on. I don't have time to stick around and *hope* for the best. I need to *know* without question, that my insurance choices are correct, and I would think that any agent no matter what the subject, would be passionate about getting it right.

Always a pleasure when visiting this Arlington location. Staff agent David Quevedo and Mr. Steffen offer great depth and answer any questions I may not understand. Everyone is helpful and attentive. I will certainly recommend this place to anyone. Thank you!

Mr. Steffen was very pleasant to speak with, and he's a very helpful gentleman. Also, might I add quite attentive. The staff as an entire, are very supportive and precise. Thank you so much!

Too bad they don't have 1/2 * or warnings. Scammed into reducing my coverage to liability using corporate sales to go after non-statefarm insured residing in same home. Called my family member and quoted a price for them to be added to my policy of $142. Then increased my bill to same amount which was a $60 increase without my family member being added!. My conception is they did this knowingly that my vehicle would be a statefarm liability if it were in an accident...this act prompted me to reduce coverage to save money since price was so so high...lo and behold they don't have to cover my damages now! I'm going elsewhere. Where I won't be scammed

My experience in this office was very professional! They are so family oriented
