I use to go here A LOT. Like, maybe once a week. It had books stores and a great movie theater. And the food court was nice too - big with a lot of choices. Slowly the book stores disappeared - one by one. So I figured, fine, but at least it still have the movie theater. So at least I could still go there is I wanted to see a movie. Then THAT left and all they had was fashion stores and the food court. The food court is still good and if you are looking for a special gift for that special somebody then, yes, you may want to try here first. Also right on the metro. But outside of that it is crowded with tourists, most of the shops just are not my thing, and I have no reason to go.
About 4 floors of mall. Fashion Centre at Pentagon City does not have the dated feel of many shopping malls. It's always bustling and there are no vacancies. There is even an Apple Store. I wish I knew about this earlier, instead of trekking over to Georgetown. Since this mall is accessible from the Metro, you don't even have to walk outside to get to it.
Conveniently accessible by yellow and blue metro lines as well as by bus. It kind of reminds me of a mini Mall of America because it feels so expansive with its 3 levels of open space, lots of seating, all over the mall for people watching or just relaxing, spacious food court, and of course the shops are a given. Got my emergency prescription glasses here in a couple of hours with ophthalmologists available near Lens Crafters. Microsoft and Apple stores are here as well.
Great mall, big has all the stores you need. And this year getting a picture was fun. They had games for the kids while they wait. Only thing you have to pay for parking.
I really like this mall, y'all. The variety of stores is really great and the sheer amount of food options on the lowest level is really great. This time of year (December) it's pretty busy, so be ready to be patient with folks as you navigate the mall. As a final note - the accessibility is pretty great! The elevators are in one spot, but it's central to all the shops and there's no place in the mall that only uses stairs.
