Great experience renting a car. I would advise getting the toll tag option because if you drive out of Washington D.C., you'll likely drive on a toll road, as there are lots of them, to the extent that they are difficult to avoid. EZ has a shuttle that picks you up from the airport and takes you back after you return the car.
Was a bit confused about how the insurance stuff worked and the people there when we picked up the car werent the most helpful when we asked questions about it but overall it went smoothly and the lady who helped us return the car was super nice and it really made up for everything :) was worried about extra fees but all fees were reasonable and small. Thank you, would recommend!
By the time we were done, we had been waiting for over two hours to pick up a car for a day trip to Six Flags that we never ended up getting. Please stay away!
The gentleman at the counter was extremely pleasant and recommended a good restaurant for us to visit. He gave us a free upgrade, too! Return was fast and easy.
Excellent customer service, from the person handing me the keys to the person authorizing my exit. I will definitely use EZ Rent a Car again. I had one issue due to the fact that I used a third party to make the reservation, EZ was not at the DCA airport as stated on the third party website, it was offsite about 3 minutes.
I practically never give one star reviews, but EZ Rent a Car is a true one star experience. We rented from them once and the wait was extremely slow with only three people in front of us (at least 45 minutes), the service was bad, and the fees were poorly explained. Okay - fine. Then, three weeks later, we rented a car again - same staff there, and same signs up (they looked old and were there previously as well - this important). We waited over an hour and a half in line. It seemed like they were going intentionally slow to stall because they didn't have cars in the lot. Then, when we finally got up to the counter, they refused to rent the car to us because we were local drivers and didn't have car insurance. We had primary (not secondary) car insurance through my credit card, but they refused to accept it. They pointed to the OLD sign that was there last time and said that this was their policy. However, the same people were working there and the same sign was up previously! I mentioned to them that we didn't have the same issue with them just a few weeks prior, and they went, "oh, our policy changed." When I asked when, they went "uhhhhh. Wednesday?" It was clear they were lying to avoid admitting that they only selectively enforced this policy when they were OUT OF CARS. They cut down the line this way, by selectively turning people away for cars they had already rented. Since they aren't even located at the airport, this meant that us (and 5+ other renters) were effectively stranded.
The only problem? The shuttle location wasn't clearly marked, so missed one and got on another (wrong) one. [And was the reason, ostensibly for the upgrade.]
Definitely would use again!
