When i tried giving them another shot i avoided the rude lady and waited for someone else. The lady saw me and wrote a note gave it to the lady that was helping me. The note said "come to the back office". When they came back, they just so happened to not have any cars available.
Great car. No human contact at counter, to direct you to car pick-up area, or for any other purpose. You're on your own after using a video call terminal to speak with someone in another state to check in & finalize your rental agreement. I soo don't like dealing with autobots. Hertz staff was on hand to assist. BTW... I learned Thrifty, Dollar, and Hertz are all owned/managed by the same entity, from that person. A fool, am I.
Worst place ever. Customer service does not exist in this place. The lady would not give me information when i asked questions. She would give me the run around, so much that i got frustrated and walked away mad.
All went well at first -- friendly, helpful employee with good advice. Returned the car and was told my receipt would be e-mailed to me. It wasn't. Had to call corporate, and was put on hold. Phone options were repeated -- once I selected an option, I was told to again select from a list of options that had already been provided the first time.
Everyone who rated low is right. I was directed to where I would pick up the car by someone from another close by rental company. On getting to the garage, no one was home. I had to have a different rental company attendant assist me. This is a place you would go only when you have no other choice.
Choose somewhere else to rent a car. I travel a fair amount and have usually dealt with Enterprise & Hertz. They have great customer service and don't give you wrong information. The lady at Thrifty was horrible. They wanted to do a credit check but apparently they can't tell you if it's a hard pull or soft pull until AFTER they run the check. I was pretty sure it was just going to be a soft pull but I wasn't going to take the chance and I sure as hell wasn't going to authorize them to do a credit check without knowing. The reservation somehow went up in price from when I booked to the time I got my car. I didn't make any changes or anything and they wouldn't even look at my printout of the price I originally booked it for with the same confirmation number. I would avoid this company at all costs. Go with Enterprise or Hertz. They might not be the friendliest but they wont jack up the price without your knowledge and if they need to run a credit check, they'll tell you that it's a soft pull. Another lady getting her car ran into similar issues with pricing. They didn't care and going to one of the other counters, the prices were even higher because it was day of. AVOID THRIFTY AT ALL COST!!
